How the Lifeproof Treatment Process Works

Step 1: Thorough Surface Cleaning

The surface must be completely cleaned before treatment. Dirt, grease, hard-water residue, soap scum, and previously applied polishing products can interfere with the ceramic coating and prevent it from bonding correctly.

Step 2: Surface Preparation

We prepare the surface according to its material and condition. Stainless-steel appliances, glass, sinks, and appliance interiors may each require a slightly different cleaning approach before coating.

Step 3: Two Protective Coats

White Dove Cleaning applies two coats of Lifeproof treatment. This helps create the best possible bond, lifespan, and protection for the selected surface.

Step 4: Sealing and Curing

The treated surface cannot be touched for approximately two hours while it seals. We recommend avoiding normal use for a total of 12 hours so the coating has adequate time to cure.

Step 5: Reapplication Tracking

The expected lifespan varies based on the type of surface and how frequently it is used. White Dove management can track the expected life of the treatment and contact you when it may be time to schedule reapplication.

Lifeproof Treatment for Stainless Steel

Stainless-steel appliances and fixtures can look beautiful, but they also show fingerprints, smudges, and water marks almost immediately. Lifeproof can be applied to stainless-steel refrigerator doors, dishwashers, ovens, microwaves, range hoods, and faucets.

The protective coating helps prevent marks from bonding as strongly to the surface. When fingerprints or smudges appear, they can often be wiped away with a damp microfiber cloth instead of requiring a full application of stainless-steel cleaner.

Lifeproof Results on a Frequently Used Kitchen Sink

One of White Dove Cleaning's original Lifeproof tests was completed on a kitchen sink used regularly throughout the day. The home had very hard water, and the sink typically developed visible hard-water residue and grime between monthly cleanings.

The sink was thoroughly scrubbed and then treated with Lifeproof. Immediately after treatment, the finish appeared noticeably shinier and cleaner.

One week later, the sink remained visibly improved despite frequent use and regular exposure to water. At the two-week check, the surface was dried for inspection and continued to hold up well.

Lifeproof Results on a Stainless-Steel Dishwasher

White Dove Cleaning also tested Lifeproof on a stainless-steel dishwasher that was loaded and handled repeatedly throughout the day.

Before treatment, the dishwasher was normally cleaned every couple of weeks with stainless-steel cleaner. To prepare the surface, all existing cleaner and polishing residue was removed before the Lifeproof coating was applied.
